For those wishing to study a registered course full time at an Australian education institution.
This visa can be applied by applicants inside or outside Australia.
This temporary visa enables holders to study up to a period of 5 years (dependent on course).
Visa holders are permitted to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week on commencement of their course.
Your partner and/or dependent child are able to travel with you if they are included at the time of application.
Must secure a place in their chosen course and obtain a confirmation of enrolment (CoE).
Must show that study is the genuine reason for visiting Australia (meet the genuine temporary entrant requirement) and provide evidence of: – Good Health and Character – Financial capacity to meet their course fees, travel and living expenses – Overseas Health Insurance Coverage (OSHC) for duration of the visa – Level of English Language – Previous immigration and study history
Enables a custodian of an under 18-year-old student visa holder to stay in Australia with the student to provide care and support for the duration of the student’s studies or until the student turns 18.
This visa can be applied by applicants inside or outside Australia.
Custodian must be a guardian, parent or relative of the student – relatives must be over 21 years old and obtain written consent from the student’s parent.
This visa does not provide work entitlements, however holders are permitted to undertake study or training for up to 3 months.
Must provide evidence of: – Good Health and Character – Financial capacity to meet living expenses for yourself and the student and have the ability to provide accommodation, welfare and general support – Overseas Health Insurance Coverage (OSHC) for duration of the visa
